immortalthief | An End, A beginning, and some theivery!!

Amanda opens the door to her world and enter into an empty home. Behind her Tanya is following behind. Once the two have arrived the door vanishes and a wall takes it's place. The front door is on the otherside of the room. It's a humble dwelling built with mud and wood. Some moldy bread rests on the table and Amanda glances at it recalling that at one time that had been her goal. When she notices figures passing by she squats down and motions for Tanya to do the same.

Her instincts kicking in and her head starts to dart around worried. A rat runs by and Amanda nearly jumps given what she has recently learned.

"What is that?" Tanya's nose wrinkles. She had her education in unpleasent smells, but never will get used to tehm.

"That is the smell of burning flesh." she turns away focusing on her friend, "The church burns the dead trying to prevent the spread of the plague."

She turns back towards their destination, "That's it." she points to were stone structures protrude from the top of the straw roofs of the bulk of the village.

"Ew. Okay, lets go." Tanya is very glad she has all her shots up to date.

Amanda nods and starts moving forward focusing on their destination, "They should be going out for Mass soon." she looks up at the sky, "In a few hours I think. We should wait until just after dark. It will give us the cover of darkness but we will only have a short time before the family returns."

ONce they are near the grounds of the estate she finds a place for them to wait where they wont be noticed. An alley with others as dirty as they are. She leans against the wall.

Tanya watches the surroundings, following Amanda, settling down near her. She can wait as long as needed...

A man comes by and makes a grab for Amanda's pouch which didn't really have anything in it yet but that didn't mean she wasn't going to need the pouch. Amanda slapped at his hand and gave an almost feral glare at the man who considered making a move but thought better of it and scurried off.

To their left a young child is poking a rat with a stick. The entire city seemed to be infested if you looked closely enough.

Oh, Tanya remembers her history lessons... a sigh, and she just watches the area with discretion. Living in the bunkers as Resistance was not much better.

The time seems to be passing slowly as there is nothing to do but wait.

"I'm sorry this is going to take so long." she longs for the warmth of Milliways and her fireplce.

"I am used to waiting." Tanya smiles a bit. "And in much less comfort..."

Amanda nods feeling almost guilty for putting her friend through this.

The rest of the few hours passes without incedent and for that Amanda is glad, though not suprised. Most don't bother themselves with those like her. But if the soldiers were to hear Tanya's accent there would be trouble. She hadn't thought baout that and as she does her blood boils and she finds she likes this sense of danger.

As the sun begins to set Amanda stirs and slowly makes her way towards the home. She crouches below the clean cut shrubbery on the outskirts of the property. She is quite and seems to blend in with the dirt beneath their feet. Her training with Ryu well worth the time.

Tanya learned well how to be quiet and go unnoticed, so following Amanda is not a problem. She crouches near, watching the area...

Amanda had and still has a great deal of confidence in her friend and is glad to see that it was justified.

The last rays of light peak over the horizon and leave the two in darkness. The window just 10 feet from their position has no light eminating from it which is perfect. Amanda taps Tanya on the shoulder and jumps over the bush quickly making her way across the short distance.

There is a sound just above their heads as a light passes by the window. A head ventures a look outside, just above them. The servant doesn't think to look down.

Tanya folows, quick and silent, pressing herself to the wall and waiting silently for the servant to go away. Sneaking around the Red Army camps was harder.

Understandably considering the servant had no military background and wasn't expecting trouble.

Once the servant was gone Amanda opened the window and slid in looking around before signalling to Tanya that it was okay to come in.

Tanys quickly and silently follows, joining Amanda inside.

The room they are in is decorated with ornate drapes and plush chairs. Amanda motions for Tanya to follow her. She doesn't actually know where she is going and she notes that next time she should do a little more research first.

But after a while she manages to find her way to treasure room. Or rather to the wife's room. She finds the necklace and grabs a few other trinkets. And begins to look around for the gold pouch. after all she does have a Bar tab to pay. She can't help but have a smile of pure illation.

She gestures for Tanya to help herself. They only have moments before a servant comes by and not much longer then that before the master returns.

Tanya will follow, quietly... and why not, she does not need more cash, but she will help herself to anything portable and valuable that she can find.

Amanda obviously could use more money.

Well she has been in Milliways for over a year and though trips to Ryu's world have helped she doesn't know how long she willbe stuck there. But she will not be too greedy. She takes the necklace, jewels, and the coin pouch that she finds. Then slinks out of the room careful to make sure that Tanya is behind her and head towards the window they had entered in from. Though their path is blocked. The master of the home has returned with his wife and are sitting in that very room.

She turns towards Tanya for ideas.

Oh, crap.

Tanya ponders a bit. "Front door?" she whispers. "I can knock out the servant if we meet him... or we can go in, making a lot of noise, covering our faces, and jump out the window. And run, and look for a door back to Milliways."

Amanda considers their options, "Front door." fortunately their whispers can't be heard over the drull of the man of the house as he gives the women a lecture on the sermin that they just heard.

They move towards the front door avoiding the servants, most of whom are sleeping and the few remaining are scurring about in the kitchen.

Oh, good... quick, together... and now its is just a matter of getting the door open, and then run for freedom!

At the door, Amanda opens it without making a sound. When it shuts behind them the heads in the house turn as they think they heard the front door close. Casually a servant moves to take a look but thinks nothing of it.

"It must have been the wind." he comments casually as he peaks his head out the door. By that time they were over the main hedge that surrounds the grounds.

Tanya can not help but laugh softly, low. "Oh, that was interesting..." Moving away quickly and sneaky-ly with Amanda.

Amanda starts heading back towards the dwelling where they arrived. Amanda is smiling the entire way.

"Yes it was. I would even say it was fun." she's only done this sort of thing with Ryu and then she recalls what she had planned with Lucy. Her smile fades a bit she opens her mouth to ask something but thinks better of it, this isn't the time and certainly not the place.

When they arrive Amanda opens the door. On the otherside the light from Milliways gleams. She holds the door open for Tanya to go in first.
