Future Amanda in Tokyo

Across the table from her sits a short man who is absolutely red in the face. Amanda sits crosslegged in her seat, "Really I don't know what you think  I've done." 

The man turns and yells at the uniformed woman who leaves the room for a few moments and then returns with a screen and a video tape which he plays for Amanda who starts laughing. The  man looks even more irritated, "You think this is funny?"

"Yes." she retorts, "I would never be caught dead wearing something so tacky."

"This is clearly you." he points to her on the screen.

"I am pretty sure I would remember something like that." though she does think it looks like fun. He yells and the uniformed woman who had been adverting her eyes from the scene on the video comes forward and binds Amanda's hand. Taking her elbow she has Amanda stand and escorts her to a holding cell. The man takes a few deep breaths calming himself. "We shall see if you are still amused after sitting in your new home." And off he and the woman go.

Amanda looks around, "Hmm interesting."

Very interesting; even more after a few hours, then after nightfall when the vigilance is relaxed some. The bed is atrocious, and being handcuffed does not help, so Amanda most likely is easy to wake up with the 'clink-clink' of a small metal object falling in thru the window.

Amanda rarely sleeps soundly, especially since she isn't armed. When the metal object hits the ground her eyes shot open. He head looking around as she carefully picks up the lockpick with her feet. Carefully she puts it in her hand and is out of the handcuffs in seconds. At which point she carefully moves towards the window being careful not to attract attention.

She carefully glances out the window being cautious of any sharp objects that might be coming her way.

"I thought you would feel better that way." The voice is low, definitely male, and shows a hint of humor.

It seems to be the same woman, but as far as Ryu can tell, it can't be... so, he remains out of sight for now.

"Much, thank you." she is confused and a bit skeptical about why this man is helping her but she isn't going to turn down some help.

"I don't supose you have some tools to open up this window." it's small, too small for most people to fit through but she is sure she can she just needs a little more room.

"I might, but first I am curious... I have once met a woman, who looked like you and answered by the same name. I taught her many things, and we had a few spots of adventure together as well." No, he is not hurrying at all with anything.

The guards don't seem to be coming this way and Amanda doesn't sound or look rushed, in fact she sounds like she is having fun. "I don't suppose that she was the one in the video." she wonders, "Where did you meet her?" she doesn't recognize his voice but then she has met many people.

"The one and the same. I met her in a Bar, we chatted casually, and... had fun together." That is a way of putting it.

"I've been to many bars." she smiles thinking about a special bar.

Smiling, "You came to see if I was her?" now a little more curious herself.

"In a word, yes... no matter how improbable or impossible it would be. For instance, that Amanda would have recognized me already." And thewn he would be bound to freeing her, since it is partially his fault she got locked up.

"If anything I have learned that anything is possible." she considers, "but yes given what I saw she would have." she looks at the lock pick, "I think I would like your friend."

"Ah, well." A very low chuckle. "Now comes the hard part... would you be willing to trust a stranger?"

"I've always depended on the kindness of strangers." she gives a great Blanche impression before taking on a more serious tone, "What would you like me to do?"

"Right now? Just step back from the window." As soon as she does it, a crack appears on the concrete... and starts making its way around the metal frame of the window itself.

Amanda walks back over to the front of the cell to make sure no one was coming, her hands behind her back. She hears the crack and looks back with a smile. She waits patiently anxious to meet this man.

It takes a couple minutes, but soon enough the whole window is pulled off... leaving a hole more than enough wide for Amanda to crawl thru. "Shall we?"

"We shall." Amanda walks over to the window just as the door at the end of the hall begins to open. She hears it, "Oh no." she works with Ryu to quickly get her out of the cell. Amanda looks like she has done this before and when she is outside Ryu may notice that she does indeed look identical to Amanda though her eyes may see a little older.

The ninja (because it is a ninja, no doubts there) hangs upside-down from a safety line. He is strong, and can offer Amanda very good support against the wall of the building while sliding the window back in place.

"Up". They have mere moments before her abscence is noticed, and up is the logical path for an escapee, since the obvious one would be down, to escape.

Amanda nods having no problem with going up she takes ahold of the rope and starts to climb swiftly. She could almost be a ninja herself with such speed, perhaps because mere seconds after she started to climb had the alarm going off. A head pokes out of the window looking down to try and find them.

Ryu follows badind her, tossing a something down to make noise in a very dark spot of the side street below; with the police properly distracted, they can make their way to the roof without problems. "And here we are."

"Wonderful." she looks around, "So where are the gliders?" because he brought gliders...right?

"The buildings do not let good wind here." His eyes shine with mirth, and he beckons Amanda closer. "Come."

Amanda does as he asks unable to hide the grin, curious what he has in mind. "Very well." she knows that they need to hurry she can hear the police on on the street and it's only a matter of time before they head upwards.

The shinobi picks her up in strong arms, does a quiock dash, and leaps across an ally to the next building... and then jumps again, and again, each one a bit longer than the last. Five leaps, and the fifth is to a fire escape, from there to a ledge and back, efortessly carrying Amanda away from downtown.

Amanda is impressed and doesn't say anything until the have landed on the fire escape not wanting to draw any unwanted attention to them.

"May I have the honor of knowing the name of my rescuer?" she asks before they get started heading down the fire escape.

"The rescue is not finished yet... But you can call me Ryu." They can get to the street easily, where a car is waiting, and Ryu can change into normal street clothes quickly.
