Future Amanda in Tokyo

Across the table from her sits a short man who is absolutely red in the face. Amanda sits crosslegged in her seat, "Really I don't know what you think  I've done." 

The man turns and yells at the uniformed woman who leaves the room for a few moments and then returns with a screen and a video tape which he plays for Amanda who starts laughing. The  man looks even more irritated, "You think this is funny?"

"Yes." she retorts, "I would never be caught dead wearing something so tacky."

"This is clearly you." he points to her on the screen.

"I am pretty sure I would remember something like that." though she does think it looks like fun. He yells and the uniformed woman who had been adverting her eyes from the scene on the video comes forward and binds Amanda's hand. Taking her elbow she has Amanda stand and escorts her to a holding cell. The man takes a few deep breaths calming himself. "We shall see if you are still amused after sitting in your new home." And off he and the woman go.

Amanda looks around, "Hmm interesting."

"Nice to meet you." she doesn't repeat his name for security reasons. She makes her ways down to the lowest level of the fire escape where she takes hold of the railing, swinging herself over it, jumping to the floor. Bending at the knee's.

Ryu lands gracefully beside her... and guides Amanda to the car.

There is a bit of eye-candy for her, while he gets out of the shinobi ensemble and into normal clothes. "May I take you anywhere specific?"

Amanda watches him vaguely as she gets into the car. She thinks for a moment, "There is a temple" she rattles off a location. "I have a friend there." she can't help but wonder, "Where is your friend?" she really wants to meet her double thinking of all the trobule they can get into.

"Have not seen in a long while. No idea where she is right now." Ryu gets in the car, and drives off with her.

Amanda nods, "That's too bad. I would have like to have met her before I left the country." she had had other plans but if she is wanted by the police they wont pan out this time.

"Thank you for your help." considering, "I'd like to have a chance to play with you again."

The man flashes a smile to her; no, a grin.

She might recognize the man who was in that video... "Really? When I play, I play wild."

"So I saw." grinning, "And really is there any other way to play?" she laughs.

"Not when you live live dangerously..." Watching this Amanda a bit... so perfectly, exactly like the Amanda he knew.

Yes she seems every bit the same Amanda, only more educated. "I prefer to call it living an interesting life."

Deja Vú... "You know the chinese say it like a curse... may you live in interesting times." They had this same conversation before.

Almost the same exact words too.

"Yes, I have heard it many times and I don't think that the Chinese ever imagined some of the interesting things that I have seen."

"I am inclined to say they saw much more than what you can imagine... they have thousands of years of history, seeing things, believing in things. While europeans marked the unknown areas of the world with a warning, 'here be dragons', the chinese went there to meet the great wyrms."

Amanda laughs, "Belive me no matter how much time a peoples have doesn't change the fact that there are some things that would suprise even them."

"I could never help but be curious about the great wyrms." what treasures they must have.

"They are... impressive, I don't think one can explain a Dragon." Ryu chuckles low. "You have to see for yourself."

"Do you know where I might be able to meet on of these dragons?" she looks eager and doesn't know what else to do with herself. She needs to see something strange, she misses that.

"Unfortunately, the Dragons are rather reclusive nowadays; people forgot about them so they don't seek to be seen anymore."

"That is too bad. But there is time. I'm sure i'll eventually find them."

"It is just a matter of knowing where and how to look; if they want to be found, they will find you." Ryu smiles, still driving, glancing at her now and then... wondering.

Amanda notices, "Are you wondering why I look so much like your friend?" because so is she.

"And wondering how much like her you are in other matters..." She is beautiful... the Amanda he knew with a new layer of sofistication, which just makes her more alluring.

"Really? Where is she from?" because Amanda is getting more and more curious about this friend of his. She had seen her on the video but even this friend of hers see further similarities.

"She was from France, a small place in Normandy to be exact. Grew up in poverty, and learned to survive and outsmart danger..." Ryu watches the woman out of the corner of his eye, driving a bit slower. He is still wondering, what... if...

Amanda looks deep in thought, for the first time since Ryu met her she looks serious. "And where would you have met such a person?" she doesn't think it's possible, could it be?

Ryu slows down, and stops the car, parking at the curb as he turns to Amanda. "A Bar. A bar called Milliways." Could it be, really?

The look on Amanda's face is unmistakeable she knows that bar, "Milliways?" then her face brightens up, "You've been to Milliways?" she considers, "Is it possible?" then she laughs, "I suppose with Milliways anything is possible."
